My Heel Hurts!

Do you suffer from heel pain? You're not alone. In fact, approximately 85% of adults will experience heel pain at some point in their lifetime. The good news is that the vast majority of cases are highly treatable.

At our podiatry clinic, we regularly see patients with a range of heel pain symptoms, such as morning pain, pain that warms up with activity, pain under the heel, numbness or pain in the arch, and pain when walking on hard surfaces or after activity. While the most common cause of heel pain is Plantar Fasciitis, we also commonly identify other causes, such as heel spurs, fat pad impingement, nerve impingement, flexor muscle inflammation, and bursitis.

As foot experts, we focus on identifying the root cause of your pain, reducing your pain levels, and getting you back to the daily activities that you love. Our approach includes providing long-term solutions that reduce the likelihood of symptoms returning.

The key to a successful outcome is a thorough assessment by a podiatrist and the correct diagnosis. Biomechanical factors, such as leg length discrepancies, excessive pronation, activity levels, and footwear, are often associated with the onset of heel pain.

Our range of treatment options includes at-home therapies, in-clinic treatments like dry needling and foot mobilisation, medically prescribed custom foot orthotics, rehabilitation exercise programs, modification of activity levels and footwear, corticosteroid injections, and immobilisation therapy using a CAD walker boot.

Don't let heel pain hold you back any longer. Schedule an appointment with us and let us help you get back on your feet.
