Do you need a Boot?

Suffering a foot, ankle or leg injury can cause immediate pain and loss of function.
Recently a study has shown there was a significant impact to work function and capacity after a foot, ankle or leg injury. The study further details the poor ability to return to work for those who do not have the correct treatment in a timely manner.

At the clinic is common to see injuries present weeks or event months after the injury and in the case of a “Rolled Ankle“ the long term prosepcts can be very poor with chronic ankle insitbilty affecting up to 60% of the population.

Many injuries are the result of sporting based activities, like soccer, football, rugby and running as a few examples, though we see chronic injuries in the workplace and everyday activities which commonly are the result of a ankle sprain or fracture.

Good news is we can HELP!

Injuries involving the use of a boot normally require a level of rehabilitation and soft tissue mobilisation to get you morving normally and avoid long term complicationms such as pain.
